I saw this layout in a Creating Keepsakes magazine and I really liked it. I used some {me & my big ideas} paper, some rhinestones, and a few neglected birthday stamps.
Sorry about the funky green paper in the background. Mason was napping while I took this series of pictures and my white paper was in the room. Yes, right now our bedroom, Mason's bedroom, and my craft room are one and the same room. But the end is in sight for the addition!

father's day with riley
This father's day is bittersweet for sure! It's the first father's day without my dad. I never really got to see him on father's day since we lived so far away, but I won't even be able to call him. I miss him.
This card is for Ryan's dad. We are very blessed that his parents live close and we're looking forward to spending the day with them. And of course celebrating with Ryan (his second father's day!).
I colored sweet Riley with my limited number of copics. I only have a few greens, browns, and pinks. I probably need to change that:) But for now, all Riley's accessories will be green or pink. Have a wonderful day. Give your dad a hug!

simple chick
See what I mean about the simple kick I'm on? I colored this sweet chick awhile back with colored pencils. He finally found his way onto a card. The little chick-prints are from a rubbernecker set (Kittie Kits Scene #3). I am really loving this pale yellow color. We are re-painting our kitchen and I think this yellow will have to find it's way into our house somehow:) Have a happy day.

purple bird
I love this bird on a branch stamp set, but I really don't use it enough. I've been making lots of simple cards lately. Using lots of stuff from my stash. The ribbon and embossed paper are from wish-rak. I love pale plum and perfect plum together. I'm sorta bummed that stampin' up is getting rid of pale plum.
We're off to the hot springs today! Mason is staying with Grammie. It's sort of a late anniversay celebration! I'm looking forward to lots of sun and diving into a good book. And of course spending time in the water. I'm thinking of making some veggie wraps and some mint lemonade to bring along.

little bicycle
Isn't this bicycle stamp fun? I wish I had a bike like that, but I'm not sure how it would do on our dirt roads:) This is a sketch from get sketchy, but it's a couple weeks old. The paper came from a pack (me & my big ideas) that I've had forever. I love how all the colors match though. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

hippo birthday
I made a couple cards with this week's cps sketch. I'm working on using up my stash and some wishes from SCS (I have a whole shoebox full of them).
I know that this school year is almost over, but I'm already thinking about next year. I have so many new ideas and plans. My notebook is full of lists and things I want to change. Another way to encourage me to use my stash is to give each of my students a card from me on their birthday. I usually let them pick a gift from my birthday box, but I thought it would be neat to set a card on their desk too. Aren't these perfect for little second graders?

cps sketch
I've been working on adding to my thank you card stash, but I've been sending them faster than I've been making them. Oh well. This is last week's sketch over at the cps blog. I wasn't sure where to put the thank you sentiment, so I put it inside. The main image is a simple flower and I wanted to leave it uncolored for a subtle look. I've already mailed this one off, so I guess I better get going on some more!

mother's day
Mother's Day is quickly approaching. I've been messing around with a few different mother's day cards here and there. But, mostly I've been locked in my craft room (ok, not really the craft room...it's spread all over the house!) working on a few projects. Nothing like waiting till the last minute. I guess I still have a few more weeks, but in it's hard to fit in craft time while playing with a little 10 month old. I love this paper! I dug into my stash of felt flowers and rhinestone brads for this one. Thanks for stopping by!

butterfly birthday
I love this paper. It has all my favorite colors in it and I didn't want to cover much of it up. I used my lace border punch and butterfly punch. Then I added some rhinestones. Pretty simple, but a perfect addition to my birthday card stash. I have a lot of birthdays coming up in the next few months. The weather here in Colorado can't decide if it's spring or winter. It is beautiful one day and snowing the next. I can't wait until the warm weather is here to stay. Have a happy one!

steep, stir, & enjoy
It's no mystery that I love tea! There's nothing like a good pot of tea shared with a friend. I made this card with some papertrey ink stamps. I love this little tea set. I am also loving the purple and cream color combo. Short and sweet:) Life has been a little crazy over the past few months, with lots of ups and downs, but I'm hoping to share some more of my cards here on the blog-o. Have a happy day!
