thank you

This card is a little too cheery for the weather we've been having lately:) Lots of snow here, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to make a bright, fun card. I do have Christmas cards on the brain too though, so that might be my next project. You can never have too many thank you cards on hand. You never know when someone will surprise you...like last weekend when my sister and I went to visit my dad in the hospital and two of his friends opened their home to us....inviting us over for dinner and a short break from being at the hospital. What wonderful people! They even had a book for Mason and wrote a messege to him inside. They sure were a blessing during a tough time.

Have a wonderful day, friends.

October 13, 2009

I made this card with a color throwdown challenge from a few weeks back. I just haven't had time to get it posted:)
I don't have any rich razzleberry cardstock, so I only used the other 3 colors.
I outlined the image with my su marker and then colored it in with a watercolor crayon. Then I loaded it up with crystal effects! I love the shiny puffy-ness.
Thanks for visiting. Have a fun day.

mommy to be~mojo106

Here's another card using last week's mojo monday sketch. I sent this to my best friend, minnz who is expecting in March. I think she sent me this stamp set when I was pregnant, but this is the first time I've used it. I love the fall colors. The stamps are from Studio G. Everything else is Stampin' Up! Have a great weekend, friends:)

chicken mojo

I made this card with last week's mojo monday sketch 106. I just love these little chicken stamps from rubbernecker.

The paper and ribbon is su and the images are colored with copics and su markers. I like the little bit of blue with all the browns and rust:) Thanks for visiting!

coffee

Today is a good day for a nice warm cup of coffee (with cinnamon vanilla creamer)! It's so windy and chilly this morning. Here is the card I made for dawn's color challenge. I just love her sweet blog! I had no idea what to do at first, but after staring at the papers for awhile, this is what I came up with.
The stamps are rubbernecker and the paper is dcwv and su. Thanks for visiting! Have a blessed day.

mason robert

Well, Mason is almost 4 months old and I'm just getting started on his scrapbook. These pages use a scrappin' kit from SU. I love the colors and the cute little birdies on the background paper. It's been too long since I scrapbooked and it was fun to get some pages done.

color throwdown

Here is my card for this week's color throwdown challenge. We had to use olive, rose red, mustard, regal rose, and chocolate. I love this fall image:) I colored it with copics and popped up the pumpkins and the center of the sunflower. Thanks for visiting. Have a good one!

squirrels:)

Hello there. It's been a while since I have posted. I've been a little busy. This is a pretty simple card, but I love those little squirrels on the bench. I love this color combo too...rust, chocolate, and vanilla. Well, I should have some crafty time in the next few days, so stop by and say hello.

flower soft

When I got together with my friend Hillary on Friday I somehow managed to squeeze two cards out between a baby who wanted to be held all day and my eating of lots of pancakes (who's counting?) Yup our new tradition is pancake Friday...lots of fun.

Here is one of my cards. I got this flower soft at the scrapbook expo and finally got to use it. See it all over the trees? It is so easy, but so fun. I stamped the tree image in chocolate chip and used a watercolor pencil and blender pen for the ground. The bow is a little big I think, but it's all I had to work with. Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to start framing in our addition with the hubby:)

just a few more

Ok, these are the last cards with this stamp set or this fun baja breeze dsp {for a while}. It's time to move on to some other things.
My best friend minnz is coming over today and I am so excited to stamp with her. It's been toooo long:) On the agenda: grandparents day cards, recipe cards, and maybe some Christmas cards. It's a nice, cool day here...perfect for friends, tea, good conversation and lots of stamping! Have a good one,

thanks

I made this card the last time I got together with my friends Hillary and Steph and I figured I better get to posting it since we are getting together again today! I used Steph's greenhouse garden stamps for the flowers and the sentiment was one I got from wish-rak. I need to take this patterned paper out of the bag I'm bringing today because I can't stop using it and I {need} to move on to something else:) Thanks for stopping by, friends. Have a wonderful day!

ever grateful

Another cool, crisp morning. This card is made with one of my favorite fall colors: rusty red. Gotta love it, especially paired with cream and tan. What a great combo. I would have never thought of it, but let the patterned paper do all the work:)

August 26, 2009

chill out:)

I've been meaning to try one of kerin's sketch challenges for quite a while now and today I finally got to it. I love this Anne LaPoint image. Wouldn't a polka dot bathtub be quite fun? I colored the image with colored pencils and oms. I can't seem to stop using this baja breeze dsp. I love the bright colors!

There is definitely a chill in the air today! Have I mentioned that I love fall? I got lots of new products at the Scrapbooking Expo and I'm hoping to get to them today. Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day.

sweet pastels

These cards came about because I found a stack of light pink and purple envelopes that were an odd size. I decided to make some cards specifically for them so I could put them to use. This paper, Tea Party, jumpstarted these cards. The colors were perfect to match the envelopes. This one says "So Sweet of You" in the middle. I added 3 eyelets to the middle of the flower. Still working on using up that stash:) This one uses the same layout, but says Happy Birthday. I used some certainly celery ribbon to add a final touch to the bottom panel.
Thanks for stopping by today friends!

WSC92

Here is my card for last weekend's sketch challenge. My dear friend stephanie gave me this stamp set and I wanted to make her a thank you card. I used the top note die that I recieved from wish-rak and colored the image with watercolor pencils. I love this stamp set and Stephanie was so sweet to give it to me. Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

flower thanks

A simple thank you card that I made with some of my favorite paper. I love the colors in this paper, a combo I would not have thought of on my own. I used the all holidays set for the sentiment and the bodacious boquet set for the flower images. It came together pretty quickly. Thanks for stopping by. Have a good one!
